Science Fiction author Arthur Doweyko has published three books (Algorithm, As Wings Unfurl and My Shorts), two of which have garnered Royal Palm Literary Awards, and numerous short stories in both print and electronic anthologies. Much of his literary work has been inspired by his career as a scientist in the area of drug design. He has published over 100 scientific articles as well as presenting his work at domestic and international venues. He shares the 2008 Thomas A. Edison Patent Award for the discovery of Sprycel, a new anticancer drug.
